Tommy Simmons to speak about M&NA Railroad

Oh the tales the little one year-old pictured, who is now 96 years old, can tell! Tommy Simmons, who grew up at Arlberg on the Little Red River in southwest Stone County, will be the guest speaker at the program of the Stone County Historical Society on Sunday, Dec 8 at 2pm at 206 School Avenue, Mountain View. The public is invited to come hear Tommy’s stories of his days growing up around the Missouri and North Arkansas Railroad and the impact the railroad had on the surrounding area. Also at the meeting, the latest Heritage of Stone publication will be available. It’s about the M&NA Railroad in Stone County and the Case family and Case Hotel in Mountain View. A bonus will be music by Pam Simmons Setser and Kay Thomas. We hope to see you there!
